No, Locksure is not a smart lock. It doesn’t allow remote unlocking from your phone and the lock on your door is not controlled by the cloud. Even if your phone is hacked, they cannot lock or unlock your door. Locksure is an information-only device that alerts you if your door is locked or unlocked.

Can Locksure be hacked and intruders gain entry to my home?

No, unlike smart locks, Locksure doesn’t open a door so it’s impossible to gain entry through hacking.

Do I need to buy the indoor and outdoor detector?

Only if you use a key on both sides of the door and you want to monitor both sides.
