Does Aqara tell you if your door is locked?
It depends which Aqara device you mean. Aqara's door and window sensors are magnetic contact sensors: they report open or closed and cannot see the bolt, so they will not tell you the door is locked. Aqara's U-series smart locks (such as the U100) do report lock state, but they are full replacement deadbolt locks, fitted in place of your existing hardware. Aqara makes excellent sensors and locks; neither is a monitor for the lock you already have.
Locksure monitors your lock - it shows locked or unlocked. It does not lock or unlock the door.

Can an Aqara door sensor detect a lock?
No. It detects the magnet's proximity, i.e. whether the door is open or closed. A shut-but-unlocked door reads the same as a locked one.
Does the Aqara U100 show lock status?
Yes - it is a smart deadbolt that replaces your existing lock, so it knows and reports its own state, and it supports Apple Home Key and Matter. The trade-off is a full lock swap, which may not suit UK euro-cylinder or multipoint doors, or rented homes.
Can I keep my Aqara sensors and add lock-state monitoring?
Yes. Locksure adds the locked/unlocked signal alongside any open/closed sensors you already run, and the Matter version can sit in the same Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings or Home Assistant setup over Thread.
