More than one door? Packs, hubs and how far they reach
Most people start with the front door and add the back or patio door later. Here is how the packs fit together so you buy the right thing once.
Original range
The Starter Pack brings the Locksure Display Hub. Every door after that needs only an Additional Monitor Pack, which pairs with the hub you already own:
- Thumb Turn Additional Monitor Pack, £49.99, one monitor.
- Key Turn Additional Monitor Pack, £69.99, two monitors for one key-both-sides door.
Additional packs are 10% off at the basket when added with a starter pack. They pair with the Original Display Hub only; they do not work with the Locksure Matter Hub.
How many doors can one hub cover?
For the most reliable performance we recommend a maximum of two doors per hub, unless the doors are right next to each other, such as double patio doors. The reason is range: the hub talks to the monitors over Bluetooth, with a range of about 5 to 7 metres, and walls and floors reduce it.
When should I buy a second Starter Pack instead?
If the second door is in a different part of the house (a back door at the far end of a long hall, or a door on another floor), a second Starter Pack with its own hub gives that door its own zone. Both hubs appear in the same app. See Range and where to put the hub.
Matter range
Each door needs its own sensor (Thumb Turn) or pair of sensors (Key Turn). There is no Locksure hub to share; each sensor joins your smart home hub directly, so distance is governed by your Thread network rather than by a Locksure hub. The second sensor onwards is 10% off, applied automatically in the basket.
If you add the optional Locksure Matter Hub, it shows up to four doors on its screen. A key turn pair counts as one door.
Mixing ranges
Original monitors and Matter sensors do not talk to each other’s hubs. Choose one range for the house. See Matter or Original? if you have not decided.
