Works with Matter

Key Turn Monitor (Matter) for Apple Home & Google Home

£79.99

Multi-door offer: 10% off your second monitor onwards, applied automatically in the basket.

Works with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant (you need one of their Matter hubs, such as a HomePod mini or Nest Hub). It does not connect to the Locksure Display Hub system. If your Locksure came with a Display Hub, you need the Key Turn Additional Monitor Pack instead.

Add a Matter Key Turn sensor for a keyed-both-sides door. Two sensors, one inside, one outside, pair natively with the Matter controller you already use: Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant. No Locksure Hub required. Want door open/close on the same Matter tile? Add the optional Open/Close Magnet accessory for £9.99.

In the box

  • Inside Matter Key Turn sensor
  • Outside Matter Key Turn sensor
  • 2× CR2032 batteries (pre-installed)
  • Bamboo settings tool
  • Matter pairing QR codes, adhesive pads & quick-start guide

Optional accessory · Open/Close Magnet · £9.99, mounts to your door frame and pairs to one of the sensors so a single Matter tile shows lock state plus door open/close. Buy any time on the Locksure store, no setup beyond sticking it on.

Needs a Matter controller (Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings or HA) and a Thread border router. Each sensor pairs independently.

MATTER OVER THREAD

The Locksure Matter Key Turn sensor is the keyed-both-sides version of our retrofit lock-state sensor. Two sensors, one inside, one outside, read the actual lock position from either side of the door and report to your Matter setup natively, Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant. No cylinder swap, no Locksure Hub required. Want door open/close on the same Matter tile? Add the optional Locksure Open/Close Magnet accessory at £9.99.

Already have a Matter setup? Scan the QR code and you’re paired. Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings or Home Assistant, pick the one you already use.

Matter Key Turn Sensor, Technical Specifications

  • Open/Close Magnet sold separately (£9.99), mounts to the door frame and pairs to one of the sensors so a single Matter tile shows lock state and door open/close
  • Matter native, pairs with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant
  • No Locksure Hub required, each sensor commissions independently to your Matter controller
  • Thread mesh, extends through walls via any Thread border router (HomePod, Apple TV, Nest Hub, Echo 4th gen, SmartThings, Eero 6+, SkyConnect)
  • ~18 months battery life per sensor on CR2032 coin cell at the lowest TX power setting (2 included, Thread sleepy end-device, ICD)
  • Signed OTA firmware updates over Thread, straight from the app
Locksure Matter Key Turn sensor, dual-sensor retrofit Matter lock sensor for UK keyed-both-sides euro-cylinder doors, works with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings

Pairing & Compatibility

You need a Matter controller and at least one Thread border router on your network. Common border routers include HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi + Ethernet, 2021 on), Google Nest Hub (2nd gen), Amazon Echo (4th gen), SmartThings Hub v3+, Amazon Eero 6+, and the HA SkyConnect dongle. Each sensor pairs independently. For same-door reporting across both sides of a keyed-both-sides lock, the optional Locksure Matter Hub assigns both sensors to one Locksure door.

Heads-up on battery reading: the battery percentage is estimated from coin cell voltage, which stays almost flat for most of a CR2032’s life, so the gauge reads conservatively at the top end. A brand new cell typically shows 80 to 95% rather than 100%. This does not affect battery life. Watch the trend rather than the exact number, and replace the cell when the reading starts falling steadily. A gauge refinement is planned in a future free OTA.

Customer Reviews

“I got this as I wanted confidence that my parents were locking the door each night without feeling like they were too intruded upon. They were really happy with this.”

“The kids can make getting into the car a stressful experience sometimes. Then I get onto the A1 and think ‘have I locked the door?’ Now I just stop and look at the app and I know for sure!”
