Locksure Hub (Matter)

The Locksure Matter Hub is an optional accessory for the Matter Lock Sensor lineup. Your sensors work out of the box with any Matter controller, Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, without it. The Hub adds the features Matter doesn’t natively cover: long-term cloud event history, same-door reporting for keyed-both-sides Key Turn doors, geofence alerts, and door sharing across Matter fabrics.
Already on Matter and wondering if you need this? If you just want lock state in Apple Home / Google Home / HA, the sensors alone are enough. Add the Hub if you want event history beyond a few minutes, push notifications when you’ve left home unlocked, or to share a door with someone on a different Matter ecosystem.
What the Locksure Matter Hub adds
- Long-term event history. The sensors hold the last ~64 events on-device. The Hub syncs them continuously to your Locksure account while it’s online, so you can scroll back through months of door activity from the iOS or Android app.
- Same-door reporting for keyed-both-sides locks. For Matter Key Turn doors, the Hub assigns the inside and outside sensors to one Locksure door, so whichever side last detected the change updates the door’s state in the Locksure app.
- Geofence “you left it unlocked” alerts. Push notifications from the Locksure iOS or Android app when you leave home with a door unlocked, works without your phone being on home Wi-Fi.
- Door sharing across Matter ecosystems. Share a door with someone on a different Apple Home or Google Home account, designed for adult children watching an elderly parent’s door without taking control or surveilling.
- Local status display. Built-in screen shows up to 4 doors at a glance, useful in a hallway or kitchen so you can check the front door without unlocking your phone.
- WiFi + USB powered. Connects to your home network independently of your phone. USB cable included; mount centrally where it can see your sensors over Thread.
- Works alongside your Matter setup. Doesn’t replace Apple Home / Google Home / Alexa / SmartThings / Home Assistant, the Hub sits next to them as a parallel Matter participant. Your existing automations keep working.
What this Hub is, and what it isn’t
This is monitoring only, not a smart lock controller. Locksure cannot unlock a door remotely, by design. It also is not a Thread border router; you still need a HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K, Nest Hub (2nd gen), SmartThings Hub v3+, eero or HA SkyConnect on your network for the sensors to join the Thread mesh. The Hub sits on top of that, adding Locksure-account features the Matter spec doesn’t cover.
